Why it is necessary to talk about children's rights to parental care ?

Children are seen sent away by their parents to different places to improve their life opportunities.  The perception of parents, families and society on better education increases life opportunities, lead parents to send their children far from their loving bonds and natural learning environment.  We see lots of children in boarding schools, child care homes, orphanages and relatives’ homes, growing distant from the security net of warmth and care of mother, father, siblings and grandparents etc. The loss of chances to build the intimate bond, sense of attachment, cage children in their own self. They are seen to be less explorative and insecure which contribute significantly to their adulthood.  We have witnessed young people feeling loss of family bonding and identity when they return home after long separation.  Apart from that, the exposure of the children to vulnerabilities of abuses, force children to be victim of spectrum of maltreatment and crisis.  The consequences of the separation are invisible in many instances. It is difficult to mend the broken self. Instead, we have the power to safeguard our loving children from such off-time event in their life course.  Still we see that, this right of children to live with their parents are overlooked.  Isn’t it a high time to talk about the rights of parental care of our children??
