Initiative

                                              Welcome to Stop Child Separation Resource Hub!

This resource hub is an initiative of two national actors of social change. CWISH and Kadambari Memorial College as civil society organization and social work academic institution have joint hands to complement each other in the mission of promoting children's right to parental care. This initiation has been supported by ATOS and CISU Denmark.It aims to empower parents, child rights workers, child protection workers, school educators, child clubs, government officers, children or anyone interested or responsible in child development and child protection. It aspires to ensure that Nepali children are always nurtured in the natural environment of love, care and protection in their families and be safe from the harms of parental separation.

Children, Women in Social Service and Human Rights, CWISH, is a human rights organisation that has worked since 1993 to protect the rights of the children, youth and women.  CWISH was established by a group of Nepalese women. Within Nepal CWISH is pioneer in the field of parental rights.  It has been working in children’s rights to parental care from 2010. CWISH enjoys national recognition and is visible in debates regarding child protection.

 

Kadambari Memorial College, School of Social Work, KMC, is a pioneer Social Work higher educational institute, established in 2005.  It is a nonprofit institute under the NGO, Sutra Centre for Development Education and Research and is affiliated with Purbanchal University of Nepal. It aims to be a catalyst for social justice, human rights and empowerment of people, by inspiring young people to realize their ability to positively change their lives and those of the people in their communities KMC has been working             together with CWISH since 2010 as social work academic partner.
